【活动回顾】史密斯商学院中国校友会2019年度聚会成功举行

2019年8月30日下午，加拿大女王大学史密斯商学院中国校友会（SBC China）在北京泛太平洋酒店成功举办了2019年年度校友聚会。来自人大-女王金融硕士项目（MFin）、国际商务硕士项目（MIB）和商学院本科项目（Commerce）以及MBA项目的180余名校友齐聚一堂, 祝贺校友会的换届，交流彼此行业的心得，展望未来发展。


Smith Business Club China hosted its 2019 annual alumni event in Beijing on August 30th, 2019. More than 180 alumni from Master of Finance (Beijing), Master of International Business, Commerce, and MBA programs attended the event and congratulated the new executive team of Smith Business Club China. It was a great event for Smith alumni to share their experience with each other.



本次活动也非常荣幸的邀请到了加拿大驻华大使馆经济参赞、加拿大财政部驻华首席代表柯丹博士及他的夫人、教育部留教服国际处处长张海霞女士、中国人民大学汉青研究院邱副院长和院长助理张震老师、欧美同学会留加分会闫主席、以及CFA北京、加拿大枫叶银行中国代表处、全加学联、Rainmaker、甫思学院的朋友们。


The supports given by the Embassy of Canada to China greatly helped the event. We are very honored to have Counselor（Economic and Finance）Daniel Koldyk, the CSCSE international division head of the Chinese Minister of Education Ms. Zhang Haixia，the associate Dean of Hanqing school of Renming University Mr. Qiu and the assistant to Dean Mr. Zhang, the president of Canada division of  Western Returned Scholars Association Mr. Yan，and guests from CFA Beijing, Scotiabank China, Student Association of Canadian Universities, Rainmaker, ProAcademy.


首先，加拿大女王大学商学院院长David Saunders对各位来宾和校友的到来表示欢迎并讲述了选择在北京成立中国校友会的初衷。人大--女王金融硕士项目的成功举办，更有助于北京成为史密斯商学院在华校友网络的强大基地，凝聚优秀的校友并孵化出更多的商业精英，依托校友们的丰富资源，打造具备实质影响力的史密斯商学院品牌。


Firstly, David Saunders, Dean of Smith School of Business welcomed all the guests and alumni and talked about the launch of Smith Business Club China. The success of Master of Finance Beijing program makes Beijing become a strong Smith’s alumni base. Students and alumni will be able to share their resources in Beijing. It also helps the branding of the Smith School of Business.


随后，在David院长的介绍下，新一届史密斯商学院中国校友会的主席团与大家见面，并由主席王睿航先生做了代表发言。


睿航主席介绍到史密斯中国校友会将以增进校友之间的了解和信任，推动校友实现持续学习和发展；支持史密斯商学院在中国的品牌和项目推广；促进中国和加拿大两国在教育、文化等人文领域的交流，增进两国人民的了解和友谊，这三条为史密斯商学院中国校友会的发展目标为各位校友做好服务 。


After that, David introduced the new executive team of SBC China and invited the new president of SBC China, Ruihang Wang, to give a speech. The president spoke about that SBC China would continue to work for all the alumni with the missions: to establish connections and trust between each alumni; to support the branding of the Smith Business School; to further promote China-Canada relationship through the field of education and cultural, and enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.


作为史密斯商学院在华教学项目的领路人，人大-女王金融硕士项目主任王炜教授亦表示对新一届中国校友会寄予的期待，以及对发展中国校友网络的信心。随着史密斯中国校友会的发展，相信更多的校友将加入，宣传母校的文化魅力以及商学院的价值优势，把其独特的精神和风采发扬下去


Dr. Wei Wang, Director of the Master of Finance Beijing program showed his confidence in the new team of Smith’s Chinese alumni network. With the development of Smith Business Club China, Dr. Wei Wang believed that Smith alumni will be united. The Queen’s culture and Smith’s value will be shared and promoted.


接下来校友们进入自由交流环节，新旧校友们建立联系，重温母校情怀，与嘉宾、教授们亲切会谈。校友会还精心设置了抽奖环节，二十位幸运的校友带走了女王大学纪念品，现场气氛其乐融融。




Students, alumni, and guests shared contacts and had good talks. Smith Business Club China prepared a lucky draw. 20 attendees brought those Smith’s souvenirs home.


史密斯商学院中国校友会2019年度聚会的圆满结束，让我们携手推动学院的持续发展，成为母校的骄傲和自豪。相约下次聚会，敬请期待！
